Can I Contribute $5,000 to My HSA with a Plan Deductible of $2,500?

If your health insurance plan has a deductible of $2,500, you can still contribute up to $3,500 to your HSA as an individual or up to $7,000 for a family in 2021. However, if you are 55 or older, you can make an additional catch-up contribution of $1,000. This means that the total contribution limit can be $4,500 for an individual or $8,000 for a family, including the catch-up contribution.
