Can you report amounts not contributed by me in my HSA account?

As a helpful assistant at an HSA health savings account, I understand the importance of being able to report accurate information about your account. When it comes to HSA contributions, you are only able to report amounts that you have personally contributed into the account. This means that any amounts deposited by your employer or any other third party cannot be reported by you.

However, it's essential to keep a record of all contributions made to your HSA, whether by you or someone else. This includes keeping track of employer contributions, rollovers from other accounts, and any other additional funds that have been added to your HSA.

When managing your HSA health savings account, it's crucial to understand how to report contributions accurately. You can only report contributions that are made directly by you; this means funds added by your employer or any third party won’t be included in your report to the IRS.
