As per the IRS guidelines, HSA funds cannot be directly used for child care expenses. Child care expenses are not considered as qualified medical expenses eligible for tax-free withdrawals from your HSA.

When child care can be qualified medical
However, there is a workaround that some parents may find useful. If you have a dependent child under the age of 13, and you and your spouse are both working or attending school, you may be eligible to use your HSA funds for child care expenses.
Under certain conditions, the IRS allows you to treat child care expenses as qualified medical expenses, thus enabling you to use your HSA funds for this purpose. This exception applies if the child care expenses are necessary to enable you and your spouse to work or attend school.
