Can I Contribute to an HSA if I Get Medicare Plan K?

If you have Medicare Plan K, you are not eligible to contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) because Medicare is considered an HSA-incompatible health insurance plan. However, you can still keep and use funds in an existing HSA account for qualified medical expenses.

Unfortunately, if you are enrolled in Medicare Plan K, you will not be able to contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA) since this type of Medicare coverage is classified as incompatible with HSA contributions. However, don't worry too much; you can still utilize any existing HSA funds for qualified medical expenses, giving you some level of financial flexibility.
